Write The Vision And Make It Plan

Writing Is An Act Of Obedience

The Word of the Lord in Habakkuk 2:2 instructs us to write the vision.Writing the vision is obedience to what God has asked us to do. The simple act of doing what the Word of God says shifts us from being a passive, laid-back hearer to an active, engaged doer. Acting on Gods instruction puts us in a position to receive His best.

God Believes In Writing Things Down

He wrote down His thoughts, examples, ideas, plans, and purposes. He called that book The Bible! The Bible is a book filled with Gods vision.

Psalms 139:16 talks about God also having a book in heaven that has things written in it about us. If God thinks its important to write things down, then we should too! The first step we need to take when we God gives us a vision is to write it down. Habakkuk 2:2 says, Write the vision, and make it plain upon the tables, that he may run that readeth it.Writing the vision down helps you remember what the vision is. It also gives you the big picture view to keep in front of you as you plan smaller goals to achieve it.

Habakkuk 2:2 also emphasizes that when you write the vision, make it plain. If its not clear to you or other people that God may join together with you, youll have problems trying to run with it. Make sure the vision is written plainly enough so that everyone involved can understand it.

Write The Vision Make It Plain Run With It

Have you ever had a great idea? Ever woken up to have something on your mind you knew was great, but because you were so busy you didnt have time to write it down? But did you have it happen that when you did try to write it down later in the day it seemed that the thought or vision disappeared?

Thoughts can change things when they are implemented. One of the first steps you should do is write it down as soon as possible. Dont wait until later. I dont know how many times I began my day with what I thought was an incredible idea or vision, but never wrote it down. If it is not written, it does not come to pass. If it is not written down, we cant make blueprints or see what it can become.

Writing the vision down starts bringing it to life. There are two Bible verses that show the importance of having vision I would like to share.

Write Gods Vision For Your Life

Getting into Gods Word is key to knowing His mind. God expresses His thoughts through His Word. The Bible is Gods mind in written form. By spending time in Gods Word, we can find the direction and the vision that He wants for our lives.

We develop our natural relationships by spending time with a person, talking to them, and learning their likes and dislikes. It is in this same way that we nurture our relationship with God by spending time with Him, talking to Him and by meditating on His word.

So, how do you find out Gods vision for your life?

Its simple: Ask Him.

God, what is your vision for my life? What do you want me to do?How do you want to use me?

Ask God what He wants to do through you. His vision for our lives is far beyond what we know. Jeremiah 29:11 says that God knows the plans He has for us. Jeremiah 33:3 says that we can call Him and that He will reveal things that we do not know. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust Him, and to acknowledge Him in everything we do. His Word says that He will direct our steps. When we pray and totally surrender ourselves to His will, He can do amazing things in our lives.

After you ask God what He wants for your life, you will have to do this one thing to hear the answer.

Wesley’s Notes for Habakkuk 2:2

2:2 Upon tables – What was of publick concern, and therefore to be published, was anciently written or engraven upon tables, smooth stones, or wood, and then hung up in a publick place to be read. May run – That none may need to stop, but every one may plainly and clearly discern what is written.

After You Receive Your Vision Be Prepared To Verbalize It And Make It Understood

Last week I wrote about the importance of receiving our vision, dreams, and goals from the Lord. After we receive the vision, its important we write the vision.

Habakkuk 2:2 says, Then the LORD answered me and said: Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.

The seemingly small and mundane act of writing something down causes multiple parts of our brain to light up and start working. When we write, it causes our brain to focus and pay close attention to what we are doing.

Not only does the Lord encourage us to write things down in Habakkuk 2, but science can back up the importance of this practice as well.

There are a couple of important pieces to take note of in Habakkuk when we write the vision. First of all, the vision needs to be made plain. It needs to be clarified and concise. We need to know the vision inside and out, so we are able to explain it to others well.

A quote often attributed to Albert Einstein says, If you cant explain it simply, you dont understand it well enough. Vague vision is no vision at all. Our vision and plan must be clear and concise. Its vital we make the message simple and clear so it can be understood by most everyone.

Its helpful to both note and verbalize our vision and plan. It will keep it at the forefront of our thoughts and attention. Sharing and making the vision public gives the opportunity for others to join and assist in running with the vision as well.

Write The Vision And Make It Plain: Matthew Henrys Concise Commentary

How to Write a Vision Statement

2:1-4 When tossed and perplexed with doubts about the methods of Providence, we must watch against temptations to be impatient.

When we have poured out complaints and requests before God, we must observe the answers God gives by his word, his Spirit, and providences what the Lord will say to our case.

God will not disappoint the believing expectations of those who wait to hear what he will say unto them. All are concerned in the truths of Gods word. Though the promised favour be deferred long, it will come at last, and abundantly recompense us for waiting.

The humble, broken-hearted, repenting sinner, alone seeks to obtain an interest in this salvation. He will rest his soul on the promise, and on Christ, in and through whom it is given.

Thus he walks and works, as well as lives by faith, perseveres to the end, and is exalted to glory while those who distrust or despise Gods all-sufficiency will not walk uprightly with him.

The just shall live by faith in these precious promises, while the performance of them is deferred. Only those made just by faith, shall live, shall be happy here and for ever.

Keep Teaching The Vision

Proverbs 29:18 says, Where there is no vision the people perish, but happy is he who keeps the teaching. After the vision is made plain, it is to be continually shared and taught to people as it grows, becoming reality.

Your vision may be a business idea, or a strategy to enhance your specialty or an approach to working with others. It could be a potential book or manual, or side business for you to create wealth and more jobs. When the vision or thoughts are written down, they begin solidifying. The vision written down helps us to start making a path or business plan that we can accomplish.

If we dont write the vision down, then we can quickly forget it. But when it is written down we begin walking in the reward of its success. When it becomes successful not only are we positively affected, but many other peoples lives are changing for the better. All because we wrote the vision down and ran with it.

The next time you have a great thought or idea, write it down. And let us know how you have run with it and seen it succeed.

How To Be Still

In order to get the answers you need from God, it will be important that you silence all the noise around you. That means you will have to turn off the TV. You will have to power down your cell phone. Youll have to put away the iPad. This silence will require you to turn off the newsfeed in your mind that means no Twitter feeds, no Facebook timeline, no Instagram scrolling, and certainly no Periscope live streams.

If you really want to hear from God, you will have to be intentional about shutting out all outside distractions. Too many times we are listening to everything and everybody else but God. In the middle of all this noise, God may have already been speaking. Often we miss it because we dont allow ourselves any time for quiet. We never take the time to silence the incoming noise in our minds.

20 Unforgettable Lessons I Learned from the Steve Harvey Act Like A ...

I sat down to write this a number of timeswait, no I didnt. Ive been thinking about sitting down to write this for a number of weeks and it has been just thatthoughts, really, for like 5 months. I guess I am using the term thinking about entirely too loosely, lol!

Thats why my next topic is funny to me: Write the Vision and Make It Plain, Youve got to see the humor in that, lol. I personally believe that God has an extremely active sense of humor. He gave me, the girl that has challenges with focus and writing things down, the task of writing about writing things down. LOL! So this is going to be good!

Seriously, thoughwhat does that even mean, anyway? Write the vision and make it plain. Hmm, in Christian circles, this is a favorite scripture especially at the beginning of the year, lol. Yes, lets write that vision to start the year off right! Really, you can write the vision any time of year. Since were nearing the final quarter of the year, that should offer some solace that there is still time to write and complete things on your to-do list. Writing the vision is a requirement from God because He knows that writing it down keeps it on the forefront of our minds. It makes the thing that weve written official. It causes us, others, Heaven and Hell to take notice. The things that we have written down shall surely come to pass.

Shavuot: Write The Vision Make It Plain

How long must I wrestle with my thoughtand day after day have sorrow in my heartHow long will my enemy triumph over me?-Psalms 13:2

Shavuot is one of the biblically-based pilgrimage holidays known as the shalosh regalim. It is celebrated as the divine revelation of the Hebrew Bible, the Torah. Pentecost is the Greek name for Shavuot, the spring harvest festival of the Israelites. It is the day the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples of Jesus.

The Haftorah for the second day of Shavuot is provided in Habakkuk 3. The period in which Habakkuk lives as described in Scripture has been characterized as a time of injustice and idolatry. The Israelites had, at this point in the story, disobeyed their covenant with God and the country was nearing 100% exile. With the rise of Babylon on the horizon, Habakkuk takes his concerns directly to God, unlike the other prophets who criticized the people.

God responds, essentially saying that the plan is to use the worst people, the Chaldeans, to show the Israelites the importance of following the exalted legal code for human conduct in the world as prescribed by Moses tablets.

Habakkuk brings his concerns about Gods plan to God:

2 Whats God going to say to my questions? Im braced for the worst.Ill climb to the lookout tower and scan the horizon.Ill wait to see what God says, how hell answer my complaint.

God responds:

Habakkuks responds to God saying he will withstand anything, as an example of living faith.

Helps Us To Not Forget

Writing also helps you to remember whats important. When things are difficult, revisiting the vision will help you stay the course. Writing down the vision spoken to you by God will be a visual reminder of your future win.

Matthew 4:1-11 recounts Jesus being tempted by satan:

After 40 days of fasting, the Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted by the enemy. Naturally, after 40 days without food, Jesus was hungry. The enemy tempted him three times. First with bread, then with the pride of proving who He was, and finally with the wealth of the world. Each time Jesus battled the deception of the enemy with It is written.

You can put the practice of putting pen to paper to create your own It is written to fight the enemys whispers of defeat. Writing Gods vision for your life gives you something solid to look back on. You can use your own version of It is written to help you in times of doubt and discouragement. Looking back at your own It is written will help you endure the difficult times.

And The Lord Answered Me And Said Write The Vision And Make It Plain Upon Tables That He May Run That Readeth It

The Lord told Habbakuk to “Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” Meaning Habbakuk had to make the vision plain, not just for himself, but for others to see it. You see without having the clear vision from Habbakuk divinely inspired by the Lord we would not have or know the story of Habbakuk, nor would we know any of the other stories in the bible.

Now, let’s discover why it is important for you to write your vision.

1. When you prepare to plan, you cannot fail because you have clear goals in mind. You know where to start and you know what you need to do to achieve them.

2. Having a clear vision sets you on the right path and with a steadfast mind you will not be distracted from pursuing your goals.

3. Your child are relying on you to achieve these goals. Achieving this goals will show them that they too can achieve anything too.

4. Writing your vision will change your life because it improves you as a woman and Mother each time you achieve a goal. It boosts your confidence and gives you a “can do” attitude.

5. Writing your vision and submitting it to the Lord will make sure that it is what the Lord wants you to do. When we rush ahead of God we sometimes do things that He doesn’t want us to do. Write the vision by all means, but submit it to God for His approval, once He responds, then you act.

7. It will change your future. If where you are positioned now is not where you want to be forever, write your vision and make it plain.
