What Denomination Is Global Vision Bible Church

What Does Bible Fellowship Church Believe

Prophecy & The Last Days | Daniel 12 | Pastor Greg Locke

Beliefs. We consider the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God, His complete written revelation, and the one authority on which we should base our beliefs and behaviors. We adhere to the doctrine that the Godhead is simultaneously unified and triune. According to our theology, the first member of the Trinity, God the Father, presides over everything as the ultimate authority.

Why Global Vision Bible Teaching

We feel that this particular method of teaching the Bible not only inspires us to grow but also provides us with a more in-depth comprehension of the Bible in its entirety.Global Vision operates on one basic principle: You cant out gift God.When we use the word extravagant, we mean it in every sense of the word.

  • We adhere to the philosophy that every member of our community should live completely without pretense.
  • Wingnuttery And Christian Nationalism

Increasingly in the 2020s, Locke’s church started looking less like a temple dedicated to worshiping Jesus and more like a proxy of the radicalized Republican party, dedicated to a pro-Trump vein of Christian nationalism.

Locke continued to be vocally supportive of Donald Trump, rumbling about how Joe Biden stole the 2020 U.S. presidential election, right up until Trump urged people to get their COVID vaccinations.

In late August 2021, Trump political operative Roger Stone was a guest speaker at the church, and the congregation accordingly was decked in MAGA paraphernalia. Later, Locke hosted the conservative youth activist Charlie Kirk as a guest.

On October 24 2021, Locke’s guest speaker was , a pastor who also happened to be a Republican Congressional candidate. While guest preaching, Burns spread transphobic lies concerning the “bathroom” debate and relished when the crowd spontaneously erupted into a chant of “Let’s Go Brandon” . Burns and Locke later, in September 21 2021, appeared at a “Salt and Light Conference” along with several other prominent Republican politicians, and other noted conservative figures such as Joe Arpaio and E. W. Jackson.

All of this, of course, attracted much attention from media. Reportedly Locke was extremely angry about media coverage about him, and in a late June 2021 sermon announced his plans to sue CNN and Newsweek for the “defamation” of accurately quoting him and posting clips of his “sermons.”

On Mothers Day, the church gifted over 200 single mothers with $1,000 each during their worship service. Locke shared with ChurchLeaders that the church gave away $202,000 that morning, calling it beautiful.

A few weeks ago, Locke auctioned off his personal truck, called the Bubba Truck, to raise funds for their adoption foundation. The Chevy 1500 Z71 raised $80,000.

Well friends, its a bittersweet morning on campus, Locke posted on . Most of you know that last week I stood in the back of the Bubba truck under the tent and auctioned it off for our adoption foundation. Its just a truck, but it has served me well and my wife and I love what it stands for. It brought $80,000 for the cause and I just pulled it up on the trailer and its headed to South Carolina. God has closed this chapter and will soon open another one. One thing remains, YOU CANNOT OUT GIVE GOD!!

What Religion Is Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship

Pastor Greg Locke is all over the internet spreading conspiracies here ...

It should come as no surprise that OCBFs official theology, which is outlined on its website, is fundamentalist in the purest sense of the word. This includes a belief in a supernaturally inspired and inerrant Bible, creation by divine command, and a premillennial rapture.Evans was the first African American to receive a doctorate from Dallas Theological Seminary, so this shouldnt be surprising.

The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD and what wisdom is in them?, Locke read from the King James Version, starting in Jeremiah 8:9. Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.

Locke then said theyd be focusing on verse 11: For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace when there is no peace. Locke camped on the word slightly throughout the rest of his sermon.

The pastor briefly explained the prophet of Jeremiahs calling and shared that the passage they read was the introduction of a repentance sermon the prophet would preach for forty years.

Locke called out denominations in the American church for explaining away the power of God, because it doesnt fit their denominational narratives. Locke shared that his eyes are being opened to the American church and is seeing that people have some deliveranceslightly. They have some sanctificationslightly.

Even people gathered in their tent today have only slightly been set free from their bondage to the past, the pastor informed, saying, You will never be delivered from what is attacking you and oppressing you until you get desperate for the deliverance that you need from God. Stop looking for it from me and others and start saying, God you are the one thats going to have to deliver me from this situation that I found myself in.

Locke Explains King James Interpretation Regarding Demonic Possession

The pastor preached that today we misappropriate what it means to be emotionally overcome by an evil spirit, which the Bible calls a demon, and shared he has been teaching it all wrong. I would say things like this, Christians could never have a demon. And then I started reading the BibleNow heres the problem, we use the word possession in a way that should not be used. We unintentionally, inadvertently do it because the King James uses the word possession, Locke said.

Continuing to explain his thought, Locke said, Sometimes, the pressure of the King and the Catholic Church, they inadvertently used a word that made sense to them that now no longer makes sense to us. Locke alluded to the fact that whenever most people hear the word possessed, they tend to think about scenes from the film The Exorcist and envision someone who is completely overcome by a demon.

The offering was over and the worship team at Global Vision Bible Church had just finished singing Oh How I Love Jesus when the Rev. Greg Locke began telling his church about his conversations with demons.

Those demons, he said, had revealed the names of a group of full-blown, spell-casting witches whod been sent to infiltrate Global Vision, a nondenominational church east of Nashville, Tennessee, where Locke is pastor.

To God be the glory, I lie not, he told the congregation at Global Vision on Sunday , which was meeting in a packed tent on the churchs property. We got first and last names of six witches that are in our church. And you know whats strange, three of you are in this room right now.

Locke told the congregation that hed gotten the names while casting a demon out of a woman who had recently begun coming to Global Vision. The preacher, known for his sensationalist sermons about politics and COVID-19 skepticism went on to describe the exorcism in detail, quoting a demon with scruffy voice who accused worshippers at the church of being witches.

Two of the witches were in his wifes Bible study, said Locke, who warned the alleged witches not to make a move during his sermon. He then retold the New Testament story of Jesus casting a demon out of a man and into a herd of pigs, turning it into an extended monologue about witches in the church.
